- All melting points were taken in open capillaries with a Thomas-Hoover melting point apparatus and are uncorrected. Nmr spectra were obtained with a Varian A-60 spectrometer using tetramethylsilane as the internal standard. Mass spectra were obtained on a CEC 21–110 spectrometer with direct introduction of the sample, at 70eV. The yields of all compounds are those of isolated products, homogeneous on tlc; all compounds gave acceptable elemental analyses
