  • We have found that other N,N-dialkylformamide and cycloformamide hydrohalide salts are similarly catalytic and will report these results in a later communication.
  • The working catalyst is probably pyrrolidine formamide hydrobrmide formed as a result of a halogen exchange during the course of the reaction.
