  • The 1H-NMR spectra were measured at 60 MHz with Perkin-Elmer R-24B spectrometer. The data, in δ ppm in CDCI3, are as follows: 3a 1.00(t,6H,J=8), 1.22(t,6H,J=8), 2.48(q,4H,J=9), 4.18(q,4H,J=10), 7.50–8.00(m,3H); 3b 1.35(t,6H,J=10), 2.12(s,6H), 4.18(q,4H,J=10), 7.08 (s,5H), 7.75–8.0(m,3H); 3c. 1.18(t,3H,J=8), 1.2l(t, 6H,J=10), 2.03(s,3H), 2.48(q,2H,J=8), 4.18(q,4H,J=10), 7.10(s,5H), 7.50–8.0(m,3H); 3d 1.22(t,3H,J=9), 1.35 (t,3H,J=9), 2.25(s,3H), 4.20(q,4H,J=10), 7.25(s,5H), 7.50–8.0(m,4H); 3e 1.10(t,6H,J=10), 1.22(t,6H,J=8), 2.50(q,4H,J=9), 4.20(q,4H,J=10), 7.18–7.50(m,4H), 7.80–8.10(m,3H); 3f. 1.22(t,3H,J=9), 1.35(t,3H,J=10), probably from conformers because of hindered rotation, 2.09(s,3H), 2.42(s,3H), 4.15(q,4E,J=10), 7.05–7.20(m, 4H), 7.65–7.90(m,3H); 3g 1.0–1.5(m,18H), 2.45(q,4H, J=11), 4.20(q,2H,J=1l), 7.15(s,5H), 7.55–8.0(m,3H); 3h 1.28(t,6H,J=9), 4.0l(m,4H,J=1l), 4.62(s,2E), 4.82 (s,2H), probably from conformers because of hindered rotation, 7.20–7.50(m,5H), 7.75–7.92(m,5H); 3i 1.25 (t,6H,J=9), 2.40(s,3H), 4.00(q,4H,J=10), 7.23(d,2H, J=15), 7.80(d,2H,J=10); 3j 1.25(t,6H,J=10), 4.10(q, 4H,J=11), 7.50–8.65(m,6H
  • The M. S. spectra were recorded on a JMS-D3000 spectrometer and m/e (M+) are as follows: 3a 425; 3b 397, 3c 411; 3d 383; 3e, 459.5; 3f 411; 3g 453; 3h 384; 3i 307; 3j 293
  • The IR spectra were recorded on a Specord IR (C. Zeiss) spectrophotometer in CHCI3 and give γP=0 1230–1290cm−1. nSP2 1160–1180cm−1 and γSO21325–1370cm−1
