  • Reactions were followed by hplc on C18 μbondapak column eluted with 55% acetonitrile in water containing 1g/L of camphor sulphonic acid. Detector 290nm, flow rate 1ml/min. Compound (1) Rt ≍ 6.3 min, compound (2) Rt ≍ 10.5 min. PAR = Peak Area Ratio
  • For hplc assay the following conditions were used: C18: C18 μbondapak column eluted with 10–70% acetonitrile in phosphoric acid (5ml/L) at pH = 2.2 (with 10M KOH) over 30 min, at 40°C. Flow rate 1 ml/min, detector 275nm, compound (1) Relative Rt = 0.70 and response factor 0.71, compound (2) Relative Rt = 1.00
