Language Choice and Language Change: All in a Guyanese Family

  • The union of the parents is atypical for Guyana (and the hemisphere), where a less educated and lighter complexioned man is married to a professionally trained and dark complexioned woman; the union has been subject to disfavour by relatives of both partners.
