• Although the analytical and spectroscopic data unambiguously showed the presence of a dinuclear complex Gd2(phen)4(N3)6(H2O), an X-ray analysis was undertaken to remove the doubts regarding connectivity. Unfortunately, because the crystal is sensitive to X-ray, the intensity of standard reflections strongly declined and the data collection had to be halted when the measured intensity of a control reflection dropped below 60% of the initial intensity. Consequently, the high R and Rw factors (R = 0.118 and Ru = 0.137 based on F) and its unacceptable quality prevent us from publishing the crystal data in detail
