- The original size of the glare source was 10−3 steradian. The change took place, since the subjects eye was positioned at a distance of 29 inches from the hemisphere's center against an earlier distance of 24 inches due to certain structural changes in the hemisphere booth. This change in distance led to a change in source sizes of conditions A to F. Each of the conditions A, B and C had the total area of the sources changed to 0.715 × 10−3 steradian, as against a nominal of 10−3 steradian. Conditions D and E, had each source of 0.236 × 10−3 steradian as against a specified nominal of 0.33 × 10−3 steradian. Condition F consisted of a source of 0.715 × 10−3 steradian against a nominal size of 1 steradian.
