  • Between 1658 and 1721 Sweden was the leading Nordic power, extending across Finland to the Russian border at Lake Ladoga, and including Estonia, Livonia, Vor‐Pommern, Wismar, and the bishoprics of Bremen and Verden. The Baltic was practically a Swedish inland sea.
  • A facsimile edition of Peter Gedda's atlas with twelve charts was published in 1974 by REDIVIVA Facsimileförlaget (S‐104 32 Stockholm 19).
  • Eeghen , Dr. I. H. van . 1965 . De Amsterdamse boekhandel , 3 : 224 but she was a bit confused about Gedda's name, as she did not know his nationality. Some records concerning this law‐suit are in the National Archives in Stockholm.
