(Ref. 33) reported that the product is 2,6-diaminobisthiazolo(4,5-b: 5′,4′-e)pyridine 11, mp 152–153, while Bernstein (Ref. 32) and his co-workers obtained two products claimed to be 2,5-diaminothiazolo(4,5-b)pyridine, 10, mp 138–139; and compound 11, mp > 300°. Yamamoto and Takahashi (Ref. 30) had reported a melting point of 137° for their compound 10 which now turns out to be 2,6-di-amino-3-thiacyanopyridine, mp 141–141.5° from the work of Baker and Hill (Ref. 34)
