The Story of Time': Managing a major loans-in exhibition at the National Maritime Museum

  • The NMM in Greenwich comprises the Royal Observatory and the Queen's House. It also has a museum at Cotehele Quay on the Tamar, Cornwall, and a collection of ships' figureheads on Tresco, Isles of Scilly. Historic Maritime Greenwich has recently been designated a World Heritage Site
  • The NMM has recently signed a new co operative partnership with the Musée de la Marine in Paris, the Nederlands Scheepvaartmuseum, Amsterdam, and the Museu Maritim in Barcelona. In 1998, the UK Maritime Collections Strategy (UKMCS) was launched which seeks to develop complementary approaches to the collection, presentation, and marketing of UK maritime heritage between the various partner museums.
