• The isomerization of N4-Acetyl-5′-O-TBDMS cytidine 2′,3′-O-thiocarbonate is complete after 10 minutes under the conditions of the Corey-Winter procedure. The main product was tentatively characterized as N4-acetyl-2′-deoxy-2′-thio-5′-O-TBDMS cytidine 2′,3′-S,O-carbonate by NMR, UV and elemental analysis, and isolated in pure form in 70% yield (to be published).
