  • Alternatively, one can replace the population-mean exposure xt with the baseline risk-weighted population mean and proceed with essentially the same argument. This allows for the possibility that personal exposures are influenced by activities correlated with the underlying risk of death. This would not be expected to significantly affect the underlying argument.
