In engaging the tradition of biblical critique as developed not only by Kierkegaard but also by Spinoza, Kant, and Hegel, Polka argues that Greek logic, in basing itself on what he calls the doctrine of contradictory opposites, is unable to develop a conception of interpretation that does not contradict existence, or a conception of existence that does not contradict the possibility of interpretation.
