- Eye-site: Situating Theory and Practice in the Visual Arts, AAANZ Annual Conference, 30 Nov-2 Dec 2005, was convened by Roger Benjamin and Eril Baily. It was hosted jointly by the Sydney College of the Arts and the Department of Art History and Theory/ Power Institute Foundation for Art & Visual Culture at the University of Sydney and was supported by The Research Institute in Humanities & Social Sciences, The University of Sydney.
- The Transforming Aesthetics Conference (7–9 July 2005), produced by the Art Association of Australia and New Zealand (NSW Chapter), was hosted by the Art Gallery of NSW (AGNSW), Sydney, organised by the AGNSW and the University of NSW Research Centre for Contemporary Politics at the College of Fine Arts.
