The context of the reorganization of tertiary education in Australia ‐ a national perspectiveFootnote¹

This paper was delivered at a conference entitled ‘The Reorganisation of Tertiary Education in Australia’ convened in Toowoomba in July 1982 by the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education and the Tertiary Education Authority of South Australia. It was subsequently published with other conference papers in The Reorganisation of Tertiary Education in Australia by DDIAE and TEASA and has since been revised for inclusion in the present volume.
