  • Ultimately eleven adjunct professors were interviewed one-on-one either by telephone or face-to-face. They were randomly selected with the consent of the College. Anonymity and confidentiality were assured before the interview questions were asked. With experience ranging from one to twenty years in teaching social, behavioral or business sciences, they were asked to reflect on the strengths and positive aspects of being an adjunct professor. They were then asked to reflect on the weaknesses and negative aspects of being an adjunct professor. Where responses were unclear or incomplete, clarification was sought. At the end of each interview, the interviewee was asked to rate their experience as an adjunct on a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high).
