MORlARTY (Ph.D., Michigan State University) is Professor of Geography and Director of the Institute for Economic Development at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.He served two and a half years as Director of the Geography and Regional Science Program in The National Science Foundation and is presently serving as chairman of the Program's advisory subcommittee.
