The Denim Garment as Canvas: Exploring the Notion of Wear as a Fashion and Textile Narrative

Katherine Townsend Katherine Townsend PhD (2004) is a practioner and researcher in the School of Art and Design at Nottingham Trent University. Her research interests lie in the synthesizing of two-and three-dimensional textile and fashion forms, through the integration of digital and traditional technological approaches. She is currently director of MA Fashion, Knitwear and Textile Design, leads the Textile Practice research group (NTU) and is co-editor of the Journal of Craft Research (Intellect).
