The title material is a support coated with a microencapsulated colour former and a colour forming agent. Exposure to light causes hardening of the encapsulated material. Heating causes colour formation in the unexposed areas.

A copying paper undersheet having outstanding whiteness was prepared. In combination with a microencapsulated oversheet, a colour image with d = 0.95 was obtained.
