Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding Innovation Prize

Created 14 Nov 2023 | 1 article

Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding are pleased to announce the winner of our new annual prize for the most innovative article published in our journal.

This award aims to highlight our authors' exceptional work on the theoretical, empirical, and methodological challenges of intervention research. JISB is proud to be a collaborative space that fosters reflection and dialogue about the principles and practices necessary to challenge global injustice, structural and epistemic silencing, and oppression. Our prize aims to showcase important work that advances the journal's vision and the debates that move our communities.

Our editorial team considered all articles published in our journal in 2022. The winning article was chosen because it presents the reader with a theoretically sophisticated and empirically grounded account of local humanitarians' creativity in navigating the challenges posed by complex and dangerous political environments. In doing so, it broadens and deepens our analytical repertoires and advances our knowledge about current intervention and statebuilding practices.

Congratulations to the 2023 winner:
