2023 Editor’s Choice Article Collection
Dear Readers of the Scandinavian Journal of Forest Research,
From 2024, each issue of the journal features three “issue highlights”, which are the articles selected by the Editor-in-Chief together with Editorial Board of the journal. The selection of articles is based on the quality of the research, relevance of the study topics to the Nordic forests, level of conceptualization of the study findings, and the study’s potential impact upon a research field or the forest industries. Of these selected papers, the journal will nominate one as the Editor’s Choice paper for that issue.
The papers selected as issue highlights will receive additional promotion though channels of Nordic Forest Research (SNS), a co-publisher of the journal. Each Editor’s choice paper will enjoy open access for three months from its publication. At the end of the year, a collection of Editor’s choice papers will be featured as a paper collection on Taylor & Francis website. Retrospectively, such collection has been produced for 2023 and is available below.
It is our hope that this development will further strengthen the position of the journal as the publisher of high-quality forest research on topics relevant to the Nordic region.
