Society information

The Robotics Society of Japan (RSJ), also known as Nihon Robot Gakkai, was founded on January 28, 1983 for the purpose of:

  • promoting progress in academic fields
  • providing specialists with a venue for announcing their research
  • exchanging technical information in the areas of advanced robotics and robot science.

RSJ membership totals approximately 3,000 members, 700 student members, and 100 supporting members.

Members of RSJ can receive free access to read and download articles from Advanced Robotics. Information on how to join RSJ, membership types and benefits can be found on the RSJ website.
