Pre Wonca one-day postgraduate CME course on evidence based gastroenterology in primary care

The European Society for Primary Care Gastroenterology (ESPCG, www.espcg.eu) is organizing a one-day postgraduate CME course on Evidence Based Gastroenterology in Primary Care, to be held on Wednesday 6 October 2010 (0900–1600), in Malaga, Spain. Jean Muris, Secretary ESPCG, [email protected]

Aim

The aim of this course is to provide a high quality postgraduate CME program on gastroenterology in primary care.

The course has the following specific objectives:

  • To provide an overview of the state of the art in gastro-intestinal disease management in primary care, with a focus on cooperation between primary and secondary care.

  • To provide evidence based information and an appreciation in and of differences in disease presentation and management across Europe.

  • To improve clinical management of GI disease in primary care, leading to a more appropriate use of diagnostic facilities and therapies.

Program

Six one-hour sessions will be provided, addressing the most prevalent clinical topics in primary care gastroenterology. Each session will start with the presentation of a clinical case scenario. After a period of small group discussion, state of the art guidance on diagnosis and therapy will be provided.

Participation and registration

This course is primarily intended for primary care physicians from European countries, though others are welcome to attend. European accreditation will be requested.

The course fee is EUR 50, including lunch.
