Aims & Scope:

Endocrine Research publishes original articles relating to endocrinology in the broadest context - basic, clinical and translation science. 

Subjects of interest include:

  • hormones, secretion and hormone actions
  • hormone disorders diagnosis and treatment of hormone disorders
  • pituitary disorders, including acromegaly, Cushing's disease, pituitary tumors, and deficiency of pituitary hormones
  • thyroid disorders, including diagnosis and treatment of goiter and thyroid nodules
  • adrenal disorders and the diagnosis and treatment of adrenal disorders, such as Addison's disease, Cushing's syndrome and pheochromocytoma
  • diabetes, including diagnosis, management, complications and pathophysiology 
  • metabolism, physiological regulation of glucose, lipid and protein metabolism, and disorders of this regulation
  • endocrine physiology and pathophysiology in animal models and humans
  • multiple endocrine disorders - multiple tumors and deficiencies
  • reproductive hormones such as estrogen, progesterone and testosterone and their effects on fertility, sexual development, and function
  • endocrine and autocrine/paracrine aspects of other system and multi-system disorders
  • neuroendocrinology and the interactions between hormones and the nervous system
  • interactions of the endocrine system with other systems and disorders, such as cancer, neurological/cognitive change, infectious diseases, etc.
  • impact of hormones and the endocrine system on healthy living and aging
  • hormonal dysregulation and cancer
  • environmental interactions with hormone systems and hormones - endocrine disruptors
  • novel technologies impacting the science and clinical translation of endocrine physiology and therapeutics
  • sex based medicine - understanding the differences in clinical expression of disease between men and women that may be mediated by sex hormones
  • hormonal aspects of transgender medicine

The Editor invites specific authors to submit Editorial Commentaties and Brief Reviews, although Systematic Reviews are preferred.
