International Journal of Biobased Plastics is an open access, multidisciplinary chemistry, physics and structural design journal for all functional polymeric materials made from renewable resources and/or with degradability for use as commodity or engineering materials.
The aim of International Journal of Biobased Plastics is to further knowledge and research on bioplastics, i.e., engineering materials rather than naturally occurring macromolecules: their production, characterization, and degradation.
Fundamental and applied research, both theoretical and experimental, are covered. Topics include:
- Thermoplastics
- Elastomers
- Thermosets
International Journal of Biobased Plastics publishes original research and review articles. The journal operates a double-blind peer review policy.
All articles are freely and permanently available online through gold open access publication.
