Pages 88-93 | Published online: 20 Sep 2011

Abstract

This is a study of the treatment of a 21-year-old male who was referred by a physician because of severe bilateral eye-blinking. The treatment consisted primarily of hypnosis with abreaction and training in self hypnosis, the case remained symptom free over a two and one-half year period at which time the tic recurred. While the tic has recurred several times over the past two and one-half years the client is able to bring about complete, though not permanent remission.
