Age Regression and Age Progression in Psychotic and Neurotic Depression

Abstract

We have developed two techniques for use in conjunction with hypnoanalytic psychotherapy without using formal hypnosis: (1) utilization of the psychotic state to capitalize on hypersuggestibility; and (2) a progression “into heaven” where there is a reuniting theme. Five cases are discussed, three of catatonics and two of neurotics.
