Abstract

A Symposium on High Mountain Plant Ecology was held in the Georgian Republic, USSR, 19 to 25 June 1984. Representatives from nine countries presented papers on ecophysiology, phytosociology, vegetation mapping, biogeography, and human influences of mountain ecosystems. A summary of the symposium is given.
