Abstract
We have joined our friends in the sciences and social sciences in developing a language and a manner of presentation to ensure that the layman could not understand what we were talking about, guarding the holy grail by deconstructing ever more elaborate machinery around it, creating exotic vocabularies and no end of deep structures to prevent the uninitiated from tampering with the sacred mysteries. We have insure, I believe, nearly perfected the art of uninteligibility to the extent that in many cases we no longer understand ourselves.
