Abstract
To paraphrase Robert Hutchin, it is easier to move a New England graveyard than to change a curriculum. The set of courses that we faculty teach and deem important for students to take reflects the ways in which we were taught, the received traditions in which we have been steeped and our treasured specialties that give us distinction.
