Quantum Mechanics, Religion, and Objective Reality: A Response to Edmund Meltzer's Questions

Pages 8-14 | Published online: 30 Jan 2008

Abstract

In the Spring 2006 issue of The Educational Forum, Edmund S. Meltzer joined the objectivism versus constructivism debate between Jamin Carson and David Elkind. In his (2006, 200–01) article “Constructivism and Objectivism: Additional Questions,” Meltzer maintained that Carson's argument supporting objectivism did not address the implications of quantum mechanics and religion, both of which question an objectively knowable reality. In this article, Carson addresses Meltzer's additional concerns.
