Amelia Hempel-Jorgensen: 1974–2023

This Special Issue is dedicated to the memory of our friend and colleague Amelia Hempel-Jorgensen, who sadly passed away in April 2023. She was the editor of the issue, and worked with Alice Bradbury as Deputy Editor to collect and review the papers, and to write the editorial. She was dedicated to helping early career researchers in publishing their work, and to producing education research that would improve children’s lives. She will be missed.
