Abstract

The synthesis and preliminary stability studies of mononucleoside phosphotriester derivatives of 3′-azido-2′,3′-dideoxythymidine (AZT) incorporating a new kind of phosphate protecting group, namely S-glycopyranosidyl-2-thioethyl (SGTE), are reported.
