Michael Rubin
Dr. Michael Rubin is Resident Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, Washington, D.C., and a Senior Lecturer at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California. He received a B.S. in Biology and History, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in History from Yale University. Dr. Rubin served as a staff advisor on Iraq and Iran in the Office of the Secretary of Defense from 2002–2004, including an assignment as a political advisor to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad, Iraq, from 2003–2004. Editor of the Middle East Quarterly from 2004–2009, he has remained as its Senior Editor since 2009. The author of Dancing With the Devil: The Perils of Engaging Rogue Regimes(New York: Encounter, 2014), Dr. Rubin's work appears regularly in numerous publications, including Commentary magazine.
