Kristie Macrakis

Dr. Kristie Macrakis is a Professor in the School of History and Sociology at the Georgia Institute of Techology, Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a Ph.D. in the history of science at Harvard University. The author and editor of five books, including Seduced by Secrets: Inside the Stasi’s Spy-Tech World (New York: Cambridge University Press, 2008) and Prisoners, Lovers, and Spies: The Story of Invisible Ink from Herodotus to al-Qaeda (New Haven, CT: Yale University Press, 2014), she is currently working on a project titledTechno-Spies and the Decline of the Secret Agent.
