After serving as editor of our Interviews section for the past five years, Dr. Darcy Hardy has decided to step down. Since the first 2005 interview in Volume 19, Number 1, Darcy has been responsible for managing the editorial process from first concept to final handover of manuscript, including identifying an interviewee and an interviewer for each issue. For this last issue under her management, I am delighted that she has agreed to come out of the editor's shadow and be the subject herself of the interview. I speak for all American Journal of Distance Education readers in expressing gratitude to Darcy for the quality of the work she has delivered to us, and I want to add my personal thanks for the friendship and support she has extended to me throughout her tenure as Interviews editor.
