Synthesis and structural characterization of N,N-spiro cyclotriphosphazene derivatives with one stereogenic center

Abstract

In this study, N,N-spiro cyclotriphosphazene derivatives (1a–4a) with one stereogenic center were synthesized in two steps. Firstly; mono substituted phosphazene compounds [N3P3Cl5NHC6H5 (1), N3P3Cl5OC5H4N (2), N3P3Cl5OC6H2-Me-2,4,6 (3), N3P3Cl5OC6H2-But-2-Me-4 (4)] were prepared. Secondly, these compounds (1–4) were allowed to react with symmetrical difunctional reagent N,N′-diisopropylpropane-1,3-diamine to obtain cyclotriphosphazenes having one stereogenic center. The reaction of N3P3Cl5XAr (1–4) with N,N′-diisopropylpropane-1,3-diamine was carried out in dichloromethane. Four new N,N-spiro phosphazene compounds (1a–4a) which have one stereogenic center were obtained from these reactions. The structures of these compounds were characterized by 1H, 13C and 31P NMR spectrometry and elemental analyses.
