Peer Evaluated Debates: Developing Oral Communication Skills through Marketing Case Studies

Abstract

This article incorporates the persuasion approach into the analytical search for case study solutions. Under the suggested format, student teams are pitched against each other in multiple oral presentations, seeking to win as many votes as possible from the student audience. The teams are encouraged to focus on persuasive factors, besides delving into marketing models, in delivering their strategic solutions in tightly regulated debates.
