Abstract
The study proposed a new curriculum module using a "live reporter" in a foreign country to teach global components as an alternative to costly study abroad or exchange programs. The live reporter helped U.S. undergraduate students with primary and secondary research in a foreign country. Through this new teaching mode, U.S. students seemed to gain valuable experiential learning, such as a new level of comfort in researching an uncertain world, new appreciation of first-hand information, and renewed confidence in a global marketplace. The study concludes with a recommendation for an alternative international experiential learning teaching method using a live reporter.
