Abstract
High pressure cooling is a new cooling technology, which provides a certain technical support for cutting superalloy. In this paper, the theoretical model of the acting area and force of the coolant under different pressures were established. A theoretical model of the tool-chip contact length in cutting superalloy under high pressure cooling was established by the theory of material mechanics. Through theoretical research and simulation analysis, it is concluded that high pressure coolant can reduce the tool-chip contact length, and with the increase of coolant pressure, the contact length further decreases.
