The book reading habits of teacher and families to their hearing and hearing impaired kindergarten children

SUMMARY

The study was carried out to investigate the book reading habits of families and teachers to hearing impaired and normal hearing kindergarten children. The sample of research was taken from 2 kindergartens. Eleven kindergarten teachers and 36 hearing impaired children and families formed one of the groups. The other group consisted of 11 kindergarten teachers and 40 normal hearing children and families. The questionnaire applied to teachers and families included questions about book choosing and reading habits.

The results of this research shows that there is no significant difference in the book reading habits of the 2 groups to their children. But the hearing-impaired children families are more careful in book choosing and reading to their children.

RÉSUMÉ

Cette recherche a été menée dans le but connaître les pratiques de lecture des familles et des enseignants de jeunes enfants entendants et mal entendants. L'échantillon de cette recherche a été constitué à partir de deux jardins d'enfants. L'un des groupes se compose de 36 enfants mal entendants, de leurs familles et de 11 enseignants de jardin d'enfants. L'autre groupe se compose de 40 enfants entendants, de leurs familles et de 11 enseignants de jardin d'enfants. Le questionnaire adressé aux parents et aux enseignants comprend des questions sur les pratiques habituelles concernant le choix et la lecture de livres.

Les résultats de cette recherche montrent qu'il n y a pas de différence significative dans les pratiques de lecture dans les deux groupes. Cependant les familles d'enfants mal entendants sont plus attentives dans le choix des livres et dans la façon de lire aux enfants.

ZUSAMMENFASSUNG

Eine Untersuchung über die Lesegewohnheiten der Lehrer und der Familien von hörgeschädigten und nicht hörgeschädigten Kindern wurde durchgeführt. Es werden Ergebnisse aus zwei Kindergärten präsentiert. Die erste Gruppe besteht aus 36 hörgeschädigten Kindern, deren Familien und 11 Fachkräften. Die zweite Gruppe besteht aus 40 nicht hörgeschädigten Kindern, deren Familien und 11 Fachkräften. In einer Umfrage wird erforscht, wie die Familien und wie die pädagogischen Fachkräfte Bücher für die Kinder aussuchen und wie sie sie in Lesegewohnheiten einführen. Es stellt sich heraus, dass es keinen grossen Unterschied zwischen diesen beiden Gruppen gibt. Es wird lediglich festgestellt, dass Familien von hörgeschädigten Kindern vorsichtiger bei der Auswahl der Bücher sind.

RESUMEN

Este estudio fue hecho con el propósito de investigar sobre el habito de leer de los padres y de los profesores a los niños con problemas auditivos y sin problemas auditivos. Se trabajo con dos muestras de dos escuelas infantiles. La primera muestra fue de once profesores y treinta y seis niños con problemas auditivos y sus familias. La otra muestra fue de once profesores y cuarenta niños sin problemas de oído, con sus respectivas familias. Se pasó una encuesta sobre el habito de leer y la elección de los libros. La investigación mostró que no había una diferencia significativa entre los dos grupos. Pero se observó que las familias que tienen niños con dificultades auditivas se muestran más preocupadas con el tema.
