Pages 57-60 | Published online: 05 Aug 2014

Abstract

Jet Lag is a multimedia theatrical production developed by Marianne Weems (director of The Builder's Association), Jessica Chalmers (playwright), and Diller & Scofidio (architects/media artists) over a 2-year period. Following this, the piece was made during a 6-week rehearsal period with performers and designers, including video designer Chris Kondek and music designer Dan Dobson. Jet Lag has toured to Aarhus, Denmark; the Dutch Electronic Arts Festival in Rotterdam, Holland; the Fin-de-Siècle New York Festival in Nantes, France; Maison des Arts, Créteil, Paris; Trafo Theater, Budapest; and Kaaitheater, Brussels. In May 1999, Jet Lag had its American première at the opening of Mass MOCA in North Adams, Massachusetts.
