Notes
1 Ligna, formed in 1997, are a group of media and performance artists who have been working at a non-profit radio station in Hamburg. In their explorations of the medium of radio (in works such as Radio Ballet and Radio concert for 144 mobile phones) they encourage radio listeners to become the producers of collective compositions. The New Man: Four exercises in utopian movement is a play without actors in which the participants perform gestures and movements inspired by Brecht, Meyerhold, Laban and Chaplin.
2 This project was developed in collaboration with National Theatre Wales and is Rimini Protokoll's first UK commission.
