ABSTRACT
In the present study, Fe(II)-based MOF (Fe-BTC, BTC = 1,3,5-benzentricarboxylate) was synthesised via a chemical method and then synthesised hybrid polyorthoaminophenol (POAP)/Fe-BTC films by electropolymerisation of POAP in the presence of Fe-BTC to serve as the active electrode for the electrochemical storage device. The characterisation of Fe-BTC and POAP/ Fe-BTC composite film has been investigated by surface and electrochemical analysis. Benefitting from the intrinsic synergetic contributions from structural/compositional merits, the electrode delivers an impressive capacity of 625 F g−1 at 0.005 mA. This article introduces new nanocomposite materials for electrochemical pseudocapacitor by taking advantage of simple synthesis, high active surface area and stability in an aqueous electrolyte.
