Identifying disaffection

Pages 161-167 | Published online: 20 Dec 2006

Abstract

This article reports the methods used to identify pupil disaffection in the schools that formed the Norwich Area Schools Consortium (NASC). The NASC, which included local schools and the University of East Anglia (UEA), was founded and funded to engage teachers with and in educational research in a form that would contribute to school teaching as an evidence-based profession. Full details of the research instruments used in this article can be obtained from the author.
