A synthesis of existing frameworks used to analyse mathematics curricula

Pages 207-208 | Published online: 13 Aug 2008

Notes

1. Non-routine questions or problems are those for which students do not have any rehearsed procedure.

2. Madaus (Citation1988) has noted that past exam papers become de facto curriculum in many contexts. In Pakistan textbooks and past examination papers play a dominant role in classroom teaching and learning; that is why in my analysis I have only considered the experiences which students receive from written and tested curricula.
