Redesigning Services in a Patient Education Resource Center Setting: A DMAIC Quality Improvement Project

Abstract

This article describes a quality improvement project using the Six Sigma DMAIC framework in a health care setting. The project goal was to increase efficiency and decrease instructor time spent teaching patient education classes by grouping together patients with similar learning needs.
