Introduction: Changing Structures and Organization of Newsrooms

Abstract

This article introduces how changes in newsroom organization and work tasks affect personnel and enterprises and the challenges that they pose for managers. It argues that change is a normal part of on-going news enterprises and that organizations must adapt to survive changes in their environments and markets. It introduces research on newsrooms and the topics of the contributors to this special issue of the journal
