Abstract
This work highlights the electrochemical applications of Zirconium metal-organic framework (Zr-MOF). As-synthesized material was characterized by the techniques such as SEM, Single crystal XRD, TGA, and BET. The electrochemical energy storage property of prepared Zr-MOF electrode was investigated in 0.1 M KOH. The cyclic voltammogram studies were carried out to find the electrochemical behavior of Zr-MOF electrode. The clearly separated oxidation and reduction peak implied the battery behavior of Zr-MOF electrode. The constant-current charge/discharge curves with obvious plateaus achieved by Zr-MOF electrode is due to battery act of the material. The Zr-MOF electrode has shown long term stability with higher specific capacity about 1043.2 mAhg−1 in KOH. The Nyquist plot (EIS) study confirms the low solution resistance for Zr-MOF.
