ABSTRACT

Endopleura uchi is a native species from the Brazilian Amazon, with fruits consumed by the local population in natura or as pulp. The bark of the stem is used for tea production as medicine. However, the interest in this species woods by the civil and naval construction contributes to the felling of trees, which harms the ecosystem. For this reason, this research aims to conduct a general review on E. uchi phytochemical composition and biological activities, in order to contribute to the valorization, and consequent, awareness for the species preservation and maintenance.
